JUST SAY CHEESE! HELP PRIMULA CHEESE #SPREADASMILE FOR MAKE-A-WISH® UK

Last Friday (Oct 2nd) was World Smile Day and to mark this, Primula Cheese have launched the #Spreadasmile campaign which will raise funds for the amazing Make-A-Wish® UK Foundation.

To kickstart this campaign, Primula have asked us bloggers to post a picture of us with someone or something that makes us smile

Lots of things make me smile but I have chosen to post a picture of me and the new friends I have met through being a Mum. When I nervously walked into my local under 1's session way back in January 2013, I just hoped that somebody would speak to me - I never imagined that I'd make such an amazing new group of Mummy friends. These ladies can always be relyed upon for advice, cake and giggles and I can't imagine motherhood without them now!

#SpreadASmile

This World Smile Day Primula Cheese are working with Make-A-Wish® UK to raise funds to help grant magical wishes to seriously ill children.

Throughout October and November, they will donate 20% of the profits from the sale of their special 'Just Say Cheese' tube sold to Make-A-Wish® UK

Want to Help?

Join in by posting a picture of yourself with someone that makes you smile to #SpreadASmile and of course, pick up a limited Just Say Cheese edition Primula Cheese tube in stores now.

Andy Day and the Angels Welly Beat Dance Challenge #giveitsomewelly

If you're a regular reader you'll know that Andy Day features quite frequently on here! Elliot is his number one fan and so it's my mum duty to keep an eye on his Twitter to see what he's up to ;)

Angels Welly Beat Dance Challenge

Recently Andy became a Goodwill Ambassador for the Angels charity. Angels create pop-up schools and feeding kitchens within impoverished communities with the aim of re-engaging street children with learning. Andy initially got involved by co-writing and performing the Welly Beat song for their dance challenge but after a trip to South Africa to see the Angels work firsthand, he took on the role of Goodwill Ambassador.

Angels have created the Welly Beat dance challenge and would like you to get your wellies on and dance! All money raised from this campaign will help fund their project in South Africa and many more like it.  Just £3 keeps a street child at a pop up school for 2 months where they will have access to food and a basic education.

How do I get involved?

- Firstly you need to download the Welly Beat song for free here
- Record your dance on your phone/tablet/camera
- Donate £3 by texting BOOT33 £3 to 70070
- Nominate the next 3 dancers
- Post your clip to Facebook/Instagram/Twitter using the hashtag #giveitsomewelly
- Post the following ‘I'm giving it some welly and donating £3 to Angels Charity. I nominate X, X and X to do the same. Text Boot33 £3 to 70070 and Give It Some Welly! Get your FREE download of the welly beat song and see more dances at: www.angels-charity.org #giveitsomewelly'

#Giveitsomewelly

So, not being one to turn down a bit of dancing in his wellies, Elliot had a go at doing the welly beat dance last night. Elliot being Elliot wanted to do it in his nappy and wellies....!

We have donated and will be nominating via our social media :)

For more information, visit the Angels website - please donate or take part in the challenge, or just share on your social media to spread the word!

*This is not a sponsored post, we have not been paid to write about the Angels Charity but we are happy to promote something like this as it's such a good cause!

Celebrating Firsts with Pampers and UNICEF

Sometimes we take our babies firsts for granted.....first smile, first laugh, first steps. But not all parents are lucky enough to witness these important milestones. In some of the World's poorest countries, babies are at risk of catching maternal and newborn tetanus because they do not have the funds for the vaccination.

Since 2006, Pampers and UNICEF have funded an amazing 300 million vaccines, eliminating maternal and newborn tetanus in 15 countries. That's another 5 countries since their campaign last year!

Every time you buy a packet of Pampers, one vaccine is funded. Every time someone reads this blog post, Pampers will donate the cost of 3 vaccines to UNICEF!! And just by watching the video below, you will be adding another vaccine to the campaign:

Elliot has just turned 2 and it doesn't seem 5 minutes since we were celebrating some of his firsts. Here's some of his most memorable!

First cuddle!
First time meeting Nanny and Grandad
First bath! (He really really didn't like it!!!)
First Christmas (5 weeks old)
First festival / celebrity spot!!
Don't forget to share this post so Pampers can donate the cost of another 3 vaccines to UNICEF - every single vaccine helps!!
